I am a CNRS Research Scientist affiliated with the Laboratoire des Systèmes Perceptifs at École Normale Supérieure in Paris. My research focuses on human hearing and language, with a particular emphasis on the interface between these two domains: speech perception. I use behavioral experimentation, along with statistical techniques and signal processing, to explore various aspects of auditory perception.

Currently, my work centers on two main research axes. First, I investigate the cognitive mechanisms underlying the perception of phonemes and speech rhythms, both of which are critical for speech comprehension. Second, I investigate hearing loss and its remediation through hearing aids, with a focus on understanding the significant interindividual variability among users and developing more personalized fitting approaches.

Je suis Chargé de Recherche au CNRS, affilié au Laboratoire des Système Perceptifs de l’École Normale Supérieure de Paris. Mes recherches portent sur l’audition humaine et le langage, avec un accent particulier sur l’interface entre ces deux domaines. Je m’appuie sur l’expérimentation comportementale, et sur des techniques statistiques et de traitement de signal, pour étudier divers aspects de la perception auditive.

Actuellement, mes travaux s’articulent autour de deux axes principaux. D’une part, j’étudie les mécanismes cognitifs qui sous-tendent la perception des phonèmes et des rythmes paroliers, deux éléments fondamentaux de la compréhension du langage oral. D’autre part, je travaille sur les pertes auditives et leur compensation par des audioprothèses, en cherchant notamment à expliquer les grandes variations interindividuelles chez les personnes appareillées et à rendre le réglage des prothèses plus personnalisé.
